Hey,
This post is regarding the Official EVE Online Newsletters.
While I don't want to unsubscribe from these newsletters because I enjoy hearing about all the great things going on in EVE I would really like the marketing devs to stop using the newsletters for non-important announcements.
Currently I've received three different newsletters about the Trinity release. I really only need one.
25 Oct. 2007 - EVE Online Newsletter 14 - "EVE Online: Trinity, The Expansion You Have to See" 20 Nov. 2007 - EVE Online Newsletter 15 - "EVE Online: Trinity, The Mind-Blowing Expansion is Coming" 14 Dec. 2007 - EVE Online Newsletter 16 - "EVE Online: Trinity, Trinity Rising"
Each mail was sent less than a month apart and all three talk about the exact same thing. Trinity. I don't want EVE Online spam, I want EVE Online UPDATES! I really enjoyed when the newsletters were sent out sparingly (quarterly is OK). A special Power of Two announcement is fine as well but I only need one email sent per expansion.
Thoughts? -Nate

Perhaps, but on the other hand maybe they could split the types of newsletters up. For people who no longer have a subscription to the game they could send multiple emails about upcoming expansions. For people with year long subscriptions maybe they could hold off and send only one email per subject or event.

I don't think of it as a complaint but more of constructive feedback from a user who doesn't like to receive multiple emails about the same thing.

Originally by: Micheal Dietrich That's why I keep atleast 2 email accounts. One is for spam and newsletters so I can click, click, click, click, DELETE and the other is for my friends and family.
All is takes is 3 seconds to read a few words to see if it's worth it or not.
While this is a good idea I simplify things with only 1 email account. Normally I unsubscribe from ALL newsletters but EVE is special.
